Bah:Okay, alright. I guess I'll post.
I'm not doing so good this semester in the grade department. It's not like I'm failing or anything, its just that I made the Dean's list last semester and that I probably won't make it again this semester, which kind of makes it a let down not to make it this semester. I guess I could always take the classes as pass/no pass, but then I consider that cheating...well I could maybe do it this once...ah hell...
So yeah, I'm all in a rut feeling bad for myself because I was so damn lazy this semester. I became too overconfident. I just kept thinking to myself..."come on college is easy Rachel. Just look at the little amount of effort you put in and got good grades. You should take more breaks and relax some more." How wrong I was. I talked to my parents about it and they totally understood...which was amazing to say the least. I thought they'd be all pissed off and stuff. Anyways, my dad told me that the same thing happened to him when he was in college and my mother explained that she went through the same situation as well.
Ah, can't write about it anymore or I'm going to fret over it again. Must change subject.
Anybody know of a good job around Omaha? I'm going to take summer sessions at UNO, and I also need a job to make some cash. I was going to work at Lone Star, but all they have open is waitressing, and I hate people, esspecially snotty, annoying ones. Argh. Why else do you think I chose my profession? Dead things don't talk back and aren't nearly as annoying as living things. Bah...

Stupid People:Just when I thought I had seen everything, I see two of the stupidest people in the world. On my way to class I see a person riding their bike and smoking at the same time. Meanwhile, the person along side of them is jogging and smoking as well. Both were heading into the Rec. Center. What the hell people? Seriously...

Unhappy Easter:Easter wasn't so great this year. A lot of things went wrong.
First off, read the previous post...then add this to it...
The worst thing that happened was that one of the girls on my floor who I was going to room with in an apartment got really sick this week. She is in the ICU at Methodist. My uncle works there so I had him check up on her and see what the deal is. Apparently her kidnies are no longer functioning along with her liver. Plus she has a whole bunch of fluid in her lungs so she is on a ventilator and is sleeping most of the time. I called the hospital to see if they were allowing friends to visit her, but they said she is still in the ICU and isn't feeling well at all. Our whole entire floor is quiet and withdrawn about it. She was a really cool person and I got to hang out with her in one of my anthro classes and on my floor as well. She worked at Carlos O' Kellys and brought me home some chips a few times. (Note: Anyone who gives Rachel food is a very good person...hehe). Her name is Hannah Riley, so please keep her in your prayers. I would appriciate it a ton. I know that sounds wierd coming from me, but it so strange to be hanging out with someone one day and then they are totally out of your life the next. There is deffinately and absence in the halls of floor 10. We miss you Hannah!!!

Blaze Your Own Tail Pipe:I went to Best Buy today to try and buy Excel Saga Volume 6 and they didn't have it in yet...bastards. So I bought Spirited Away and Volume 1 of Chobits. That series is absolutely hillarious!!! If you haven't seen it yet, see it damnit and buy it while you're at it. LMAO! I will loan it to you. Even if you are not really into anime that much you will laugh your ass off guarunteed or I will...I don't know, but I'll do something...like make you watch it again until you laugh. So there! :P
So yeah, after doing that, I was driving along and I heard a clanging noise underneath the truck. I pulled over and noticed that the tail pipe had rusted off, but was still attached to the truck. I drove all around Lincoln in my battered truck looking for a place that could help me and I eventually found "House of Mufflers and Brakes." Perfect. I had them look it all over and they told me I would need a new muffler to attach the new tail pipe to. So after calculating up all the totals it came to $160 plus tax. I asked them how much it would cost to put a dual exhaust on there and they said around $300 plus tax. A noisy dual exhaust system would have been cool, but seeing as how I am going to possibly sell the truck this summer I chose the first choice and I am supposed to go in tomorrow to get it replaced. Yay!

Holy Jeebus!I haven't blogged in a long time. My housing form just came in. I'm living in Smith 223 next year. It's right between the bathroom and the drip-dry room, but not too close to either one. Just Perfect. Now I don't have to trek down the hall to get water or use the restroom all the time. I don't know who my room mate will be, but if they really suck, I'm going to kick them out. I chose this room specifically. It's also on the second floor, that way I don't have to wait 5 minutes for the elevator. Yay!
I just got done taking my Geology 100 test. I only had doubts on three of the questions, so I think I did alright. I have my Environmental Geology test tomorrow. I really need to study for that one cuz I'm not doing so good. I have a B -, but I want it to be an A -. I'm trying to make the Dean's list again this semester. I'll need to start working on that...heh.
I can't believe its only going to be a couple more weeks and then I'm done with my freshman year of college. Holy Jeebus!

Hornballs:In Anthropology class today we talked about sex. It was the funniest day of class EVAR! Basically my teacher bashed on males and the male half of the class was trying to back it up with excuses as to why they are so fucking horny. And the best part of it is that my teacher is a guy and he admits that guys are stupid hornballs...there is hope after all! Sorry guys...you are programed to be sex machines and have gone into overdrive, but that doesn't give you the excuse to fuck everything you see. Hornballs...
Also I learned a cool trick. Lay out your hand flat on the table and take a look at your 2nd and 4th digit. If your a girl, your 2nd digit should be longer than your 4th digit...if its just the opposite you're more likely to be attracted to other girls. If your a guy, your 4th digit should be longer than your 2nd digit...if its just the opposite...guess what?...you're more likely to be attracted to other guys. It was so funny when he said this because the whole class was looking at their hands and this one guy says out loud: "Holy crap! I'm gay!" Hillarious.

Yeah...So posting isn't as much fun as it used to be...
Currently, I'm buying some cool stuff on ebay becuase it's cool damnit! I got a lot of really good deals on stuff that you can't find in stores and they are cheaper than what they would sell it at anyways. No, it's not anything pornographic...sorry to dissapoint you boys... I got two Final Fantasy X posters and a figurine. I also just won an auction on the game and got it for $15.00...the retail price is $50 - $60 and a used one at the store would have cost me $30 - $40...so I WIN!!!
If anything exciting happens I'll let you know...but don't count on it happening any time soon :P

Flood of Styrofoam:Once again my boring life is filled with memorable events...so memorable, I forgot them...so now I will give you complete and utter crap... :P
Well, some stuff happened: Mark played a prank on his RA and it was really funny and it involved me as well. I had to drive some of the Kauffman kids all the way out to Mead, NE and go to a packing company. There, we picked up the leftover remnants of the styrofoam packing thingys. Basically it was all the small little beads you see in styrofoam after cutting the larger pieces down. Yeah...really small and annoying. They stuck to your clothes and wouldn't come off...perfect for a prank. Well, after filling my truck with 6 HUGE bags of this stuff...I couldn't even see out the back of my truck...we drove back to Lincoln. There is an outcroping in front of the rooms in Kauffman, so they just covered it with paper and filled in the gap with the six bags of styrofoam pellets. The next morning A'Laina...Mark's RA...got a little surprise when she woke up and walked out her door this morning as styrofoam pellets engulfed her and flowed into her room... LMAO! Mark and his buddies had to clean it all up, but it was still funny...you have to admit.
Basically, all I have learned from this is: Do not piss off smart people...you only have it coming. :)

Oh the Weather Outside...So anyways, time for a real post I guess. Nothing much happened this week/weekend. I got my stitches out and I'm cancer free - YAY!
I'm having a little trouble with grades in a few classes this semester. Mainly my Environmental Geology class and my Cultural Anthropology class. Environmental Geology isn't really that hard, its just that the teacher makes it that way. All her tests are super-ass hard and all the questions could have multiple answers to them - and then she says: Pick the answer that is right the MOST. Weh? I hate when they say that! So yeah, and she wonders why the class average is so low.
I was doing great in my Anthropology class, but thanks to the last test I am sitting at a C right now...not good. On the first test the T.A. wrote all the questions and I only missed 5 questions. The teacher thought that the class average was "too high" and he decided to write 20 questions for the next test. Umm yeeeeah...so that test didn't do so good. :(
The weather is absolutely wonderful! I love Spring and Summer! I hate snow and cold weather...brrrrr. For the past couple of days I just sat out in the sun and did all my homework, and so did the rest of the university. Its amazing how much activity has sprung up on campus this week. This weather puts me into a good mood and it needs to stay. But you never know if you live in Nebraska...as we all know...
