The Road Not Taken:You know when you're walking down a sidewalk and it seems so vast and endless. Part of you is sad because you know that you can't travel the entire way, but part of you is happy that you did and you learned new things along the way that you never even took the time to notice before. It's amazing how much you can learn about the world around you if you just stop and take a moment to watch and listen. Time seems to slow as you take the pieces apart and attempt to put the world back together into its functioning components. I want to learn everything I can about the world I live in, but I know this will never happen. Our time on this Earth is so short and miniscule compared to the rest of human existance. My level of comprehension is not the greatest, although I like to think it so. Sometimes I laugh at my stupidity and how much I really don't understand, and how much people actually think I do. It makes me disapointed to know that we are here for such a short time, and we learn all we can to ensure the future of our species so that they may have a better life that we could never have for ourselves. I know the saying that every person in this world makes a difference, but if you really take the time to think about it...do we really? Are we all just pieces in the puzzle of the world...without one piece you can't fully see the entire picture. But as everyone knows, you always have that damn last piece that is always missing. Yes, its true you can't see the entire picture, but you can get a general idea of what it is. Am I the lost puzzle piece? And more importantly...am I worth finding?

Evil Ulcer:So yeah...they finally figured out why I had the stomach pains I did...it's an ulcer. A pre-ulcer rather...but if anything the prevents Rachel from drinking pop is an evil thing indeed. I am 6 days and counting...and I don't think I'll be able to hold out much longer. Kind of like how I feel about sleeping right now...I really wasn't looking forward to working tonight, but I'm getting paid for it, so I guess it's a good thing after all.
I took my Statistics exam on Friday and I don't even want it back I think I did so bad. With that in mind, it just goes to show that I feel like all the studying I do never really pays off in the end...and it sucks...big time! Thanks to my grades and classes such as this, I have my ulcer...
I went to the NSBA State Marching competition tonight. Yay for Millard North...they got a Superior rating (Division I). Watching them made me start to miss my high school days in some ways and like my life in college other ways. I just wish there was something inbetween. And what made me even more frustrated was the fact that some of you guys came down to visit me and others and I never got to see you! Bah!
I am sad now because I can't take the Japanese class I wanted to take next semester. They are only offering Japanese 102, and you need to take Japanese 101 in order to take that class. Oh well...I have my senpai and kouhai to teach me in the meantime.
In other news...my room mate is gone...she moved to another room. Now I don't have to smell the weed off her so much that I could probably get high just smelling her clothes! I might get another room mate...but my mom asked to just keep it a single. We'll just have to see what happens I guess.

The Ride Of My Life:Can't sleep. My room mate smells like weed. In fact, she always smells like weed. Then when she comes back to the room after a long night of partying, she turns on this annoying fan, because the humming sound makes her fall asleep...and in turn wakes me up. Not only is the fan annoying...it also spreads the disgusting smell even further into the room and it's starting to make me sick. Well actually, I've had this problem before...in fact, it happens every single night, which is why I requested a room change. It turns out, so did she, and she will be moving out and then I will have a single for awhile until someone else decides to swich rooms, or maybe I'll get lucky and have a single for the rest of the year...but its doubtable....
Speaking of being sick, Monday morning around 3:00 a.m., Ayako, Nanaho, and I were studying in the Lounge. All of the sudden I got this really bad headache, and it felt really heavy in the back of my head. Then 15 minutes after that started, I couldn't even move my whole body and I got these sharp stinging pains in my stomach...and yes it was above the belly button...I can distinguish...but apparently the nurses didn't think I could.... Anywho, it got so bad that Ayako ran to find my R.A., Emily, who then called 911. I was a little reluctant to go the hospital, but my stomach pains soon got the better of me. After a lonely ride in the ambulance, I finally arived at the hospital 5 minutes later. I was rushed to the Emergency Room where the nurses proceeded to do various tests and inject me with random drugs I couldn't pronounce even if I tried.
The next thing I knew, I woke up and I was naked...what a way to spend your weekend...how many of you could say that about yours? :P The morphine helped a ton with the pain and the nurses yet again continued their testing. These included, and weren't limited to...an x-ray, blood test, pregnancy test, and an ultra-sound. Yep...that's right kids...but no, they weren't checking to see if I was going to have a boy or girl...they were checking out my gall bladder...which was the main focus of their testing.
Ayako and I were just talking about how similar our social security numbers were that night, so when the nurse came in and said that there was a guest in the lobby that knew my entire social security number...I was really happy to know I wasn't alone in the hospital. In fact, Emily drove Ayako and Nanaho to the hospital to come and see me. I only got to see Ayako for a little while though, until I had to go get my ultra-sound.
Even with all the testing, the cause of my stomach pains is still unknown...how comforting....

Bah!:So yeah...I feel like I'm not doing something right lately. Something is missing...and I don't know what it is...and it bothers me. I study all the time, yet my grades are dropping. It is so frustrating! Maybe I should study more, but at the rate I'm studying now, I would have absolutely no free time. My free time now consists of taking a shower or having a chat with others. The X-Box and my gigantic collection of DVD's is very tempting to me everyday. In fact, I haven't played X-Box or watched a DVD in its entirety for a very long time now. Bah! I hate my life. I guess the only solution this is to study more. It may make a few people mad, and some already are, but studying more is the only solution I can think of...:( I'm sorry I can't spend time with all of you! (People in Lincoln and Omaha included).
Well, I have to go because (you guessed it), I have to study...Bah!

Condoms For The Chin Chin:Greatings from the Smith Hall Night Clerk Desk!
Ayako called her mother in Japan tonight. Ayako was telling her mom about all the things that happened during the week and somehow the topic of condoms came up in the conversation. One of Ayako's friends is apparently having a lot of sex and she wanted to buy her friend some American condoms for fun. Then I asked her what size she needed...and she couldn't believe we had different sizes as well as kinds. In Japan, they only have one size, and that makes me giggle...hehehe. So anyways, Ayako's mom decided that she would buy Ayako and I some Japanese condoms as a joke - Glow in the Dark and Cherry Flavor - YAY! I am so excited for my Japanese condoms to come in the mail! The sad part is I have to wait a week. Ayako's mom is so cool! She is just like a college student in a parents body. I wish my mom was that cool, well...my mom is cool...just not as cool.
By the way...chin chin means penis in Japanese...use it well kids... :P
Speaking of chin chin, two very gay, drunk guys just signed in at the desk. One was a resident at the hall, and the other was a guest. Dear God...I don't even want to imagine that right now, I'm too damn tired.
And speaking of drunkeness...many of you may be shocked (as am I) to know that I still haven't been to any parties this year. It not that I don't have connections...its just the whole time factor and the fact that the people who want me to go to the parties with them want to make out with me and possibly want to have sex in the long run...so yeah... The last taste of alcohol I ever had was when I went back to Omaha a few weeks ago at church. And its church wine...so it really doesn't count...so there.

Make Love - Not War:I'm taking a break from the Iliad right now. All I've gotten out of it so far is that the Greeks and the Trojans hate each other and that they like to sleep with their stolen women. That just about sums it up. We had to read up to Book 12 and I have a test tomorrow. I wonder what kinds of questions will be on the test? Hehehe.
Well, this is it. I've come to the point where I have barely any free time and all I do is study. I knew this day would come and it did. OMG! I can't believe its October already! That's amazing! Fry is planning on having a party at his house on Halloween and we are going to watch Rocky Horror Picture Show or whatever. Its the one with the Transvestite in Transylvania or something like that. Should be interesting.... :)
I plan on coming into Omaha the next upcoming weekend to work and play drums at my church. Let me know if you guys are planning anything and maybe I can come too :). Well, its back to studying... :(
