I Have Long-Wang - No Really...:

Long-wang ~ The Dragon

You are Long-wang!
Mythological Background: Yes, the dragon represents everything you think of when you think of a dragon - fearsome and invincible. Also, it is greatly respected just because of that fact. The dragon has a very protective aspect to it. Even Jupiter reminds you of intense smashing power. The dragon is almost always surrounded by rain-bearing clouds and fog; and the appearance of its constellation always signals rainfall and lightning. It's also a symbol of authority worn by the nobility and the imperial
class. Japanese Name: Seiryuu.

Which Chinese Mythological Being Are You?

Hopefully this dragon doesn't come with a porn star again... :P

So I decided to re-read Dante's Inferno. That quiz made me think it over again. Besides, I have nothing better to do. And if you'll notice, this post is in the a.m...OMG! Hehe. It's happening...

Pheonix of Fire:

Just got back from Family Fun Center with Peter and Alan.  It's Token Day, so that means all the DDR-ish games are only one token...sweet.  I was cleaning out my room the other day and found a few tokens from the days of old.  I put them aside knowing full well, that one day we would venture over to FFC, and that day came all too soon - YAY!  :)  After about three or four games it became apparent that my legs weren't what they used to be.  Then it got me thinking...DDR-ish games are quite a workout, which also got me thinking they would help me in my quest for losing some weight...especially in the lower hemisphere.  But then this also made me think...why should I have to pay to jump around?  So, this brought me to the conclusion that I am going to start jogging every once-in-awhile.  I started about a couple of days ago.  I woke up at 6:00 a.m. and took an hour jog.  (Yes, I understand this is insane, especially for someone who usually wakes up after noon, if given the choice).  Hopefully once I get back to the university I will make a habit of going to the Recreation Center at least three times a week.  At least I have my Taekwondo classes to help out a bit.  They helped out a bit last year, but not all that much.  But anywho, I can still kick you ass, so that's all that counts...hehe... :)

I finally finished Final Fantasy X-2 two nights ago.  The game has five different endings, so when I finished it, I got the default ending.  Then I played through the boss battle again and got the "good" ending where Yuna and Tidus meet up...YAY!  I only completed 90% of the game, so that means I need to go back and do all the extra stuff to get the perfect ending...sigh...

And now here are some quizes that I recently took out of sheer boredom to take up space for the post:

phoenix

Phoenix:  Phoenixes are literally birds of fire. They are brave, majestic and have the ability to be reborn from their own ashes.  You are strong willed an confident- a true leader.  Although you can get down in the dumps occasionaly, you are never there for long. Many people flock around you and like you as a friend.

What Mythological Creature Are You?

Your Element is Fire. You have a strong, independant, fiery personality and you obviously don't let other's push you around.  You like being in charge and don't care what other people think. In fact, you like to stand out and be yourself. You're probably shy when people first meet you, but you can a ball of energy that could explode at any given moment. You like to laugh, and whether you admit it or not, you like to fight. Your peronality is wild and untamable. You're beauty is physically fit, a little sexy, and you have a very
pretty face.

A Dragon And A Porn Star Too:

Not much has really happened lately...so I don't know why I'm posting.  Most of you are in St. Louis right now, and probably won't be reading this until you get back...or who knows, you probably won't read it at all.  So I'm going to post anyways.

Some of you were over at my house this evening watching Comedy Central, "Dragon Fighter" (a.k.a - one of the crappiest movies ever), and a few episodes of "Clerk's" - the cartoon version.  We basically MST3K'd the crap out of "Dragon Fighter" only because it deserved to be in all its crappiness.  Who in their right mind would power a genetic research facility in a bunker made in the 1950's, nine stories below ground level with a fusion reactor?  I'll tell you - someone who is really stupid.  It's kind of sad when the movie's best actor is Dean Cain.  We were all pretty sure that scientist-chick was really a porn star - at least her horrible acting made us think so.  And the rest of the characters attempted to speak in foreign accents, which made it even harder to watch.  Oh, except for the deaf cook (who, in the end really wasn't deaf.  They were only hiring people with disabilities.  Ah yes, thank you affirmative action.  How we love thee.  Not to mention the fact that his original name was "Cooky").  So in other words kids, you should only view this movie if you have a death wish, or are really high or intoxicated.

And that's all you get for now...so there.

Tombraiding:

Sitting in Jason's room...blogging because I'm bored. There's a movie going on in the other room, it really doesn't interest me, which is exactly why I'm blogging now.

Not much else has happened since I got back. I got a new game "Tombraider - Angel of Darkness." Suprizingly it is better than I expected. It's not fully realistic, but not completely unrealistic...just like any good game. The game becomes pretty unbelievable when you can find gun ammo in ancient ruins 600 years old...yeah... But other than that, it's really fun to play and really interesting.

Other than that I've just been hanging out with the usual people. Yay!

Picture Perfect:

If you all want to see some of the pictures from the Hopeton Earthwork project I worked on during field school GO HERE. There is one picture with me in it, and the top banner has the same picture in it as well...YAY! My picture is on a web page!

Anywho, I came down to Lincoln to complete the lab requirements for field school. Our classes are held on the fourth floor of the federal building. The security guards get real angry if you try to bring any weapons or cameras in the building...oh well. It gets kind of boring washing artifacts all day and writing numbers down. Water flotation is pretty fun, but after awhile your hands start to get pruney from soaking them in the water for hours. My paper is due on Friday...three to five pages. My teacher said the paper really won't affect my grade at all, he just wants to see that we have the writing skills a college student should have at our age...I think I'll title my paper "Good Enough For Government Work." :P

Thankfully, one of my sorority sisters, Yoko, was willing enough to take me in. Somehow she wound up with a single room in Selleck, so that made things somewhat convenient. Thank You Yoko!
