Charlie's Angels:

That's the title of my group's skit for Japanese class. Originally, I was going to post the title in Japanese, but it won't show up on the blog. It sucks that I can't post in Japanese, otherwise I could have a lot more fun. :( If you would like a copy of our skit, I'd be more than happy to send it to you. Or, if you would like to see it live, come next Thursday to Burnett Hall, room 205 at 12:30 p.m. I know none of you will come...I'm just trying to fill up as much space as I can, to make it look like I'm blogging about something relevant.

Tonight at taekwondo practice we were allowed to dress up in our costumes. It was so hilarious trying to do all the moves we would normally. I also found out that it's extremely hard to do any sort of kick, especially hook and crescent kicks with gun holsters on - and for one of my friends, a dress. The school has some fake plastic guns that I stole momentarily for the duration of the class, and no one had any objection to it. In fact many of the students were afraid to spar me because they didn't believe I would fight fairly and that I would just shoot them instead. Now where would they get an idea like that? :P

I get to wear my costume two more times this month. One time for the party on Saturday, and the other on the day of Halloween...(that's this Sunday for all you who have one less crayon in the box). And don't worry Peter, many pictures shall be taken...including sober and intoxicated I'm sure. And no, I will not post the inebriated pictures...just to spite you. :P I shall post the pictures as soon as they are taken and reviewed by the picture committee (me).

Bang!:

Today we had Alpha Delta Pi Family Day. Basically, all of the members and their families met at Antelope Park and we had lunch. We also painted/decorated pumpkins, played bingo, and had a silent auction with all the winnings being donated to the Ronald McDonald House, which is our national philanthropy. My parents and my sister came down...embarrassed me as usual...and we all had a good time meeting each other's families.

I received my leg gun holsters in the mail today for my Tomb Raider costume. They are so freaking awesome. I wore them around campus today and got a lot of strange and frightened looks...which was what I was going for ;). In fact, I think they are so cool that I might just wear them everyday...muahahaha! I am definitely going to win the costume contest this year. The first prize is $100 dollars. Victory is mine!

Sake Belt:

I had a follow-up appointment at the Health Center yesterday. They weighed me in and I gained two pounds back...nooooooo! Hehe. Oh well, I'm just so glad to finally not be sick anymore. I almost forgot what it felt like not to be sick...heh...

On Thursday I had Taekwondo belt testing and I graduated to my purple belt (a.k.a. in the class as the "gay" belt). Next is the "blues belt" (blue belt obviously...) then the "poop belt" (brown belt), and then the "blood-bath belt" (red belt). The red-black belt is known as the "bloody-death belt," which somewhat relates to the belt that comes next. ---> The black belt is called the "death belt," and for good reason...you have to register your hands and feet as lethal weapons. O_o

Went with some friends to a Japanese restaurant that I hadn't been to before. It's called Kabuki and its somewhere near 48th and Highway 2. We had some sushi and I decided I liked salmon. I never had it before, but it was really good as sushi. It sort of melted in your mouth as you ate it. Normally I don't like any sort of seafood, but last night I found a swimming creature that I enjoyed to devour. For dinner I ordered chicken yakisoba, and I think it was the best yakisoba I've ever had. Expensive, but damn good. We also had sake, and I now declare it as my new favorite alcoholic drink. It's like vodka, but it goes down a lot smoother. Not only that, it's sweet and tastes really good. You can have it served warm or cold, and I think it tastes great either way. ;) Here's a salute to sake! *Salutes sake*

In The End:

Well, all-in-all I've lost ten pounds since I got sick and went down a jean size...which can be viewed as good and bad. I'll have to pick up my old jeans when I go back home for Fall Break...which is this week until Tuesday. I can eat semi-solids now and hopefully I can start eating normal food in a couple of days...maybe even tomorrow I hope.

Here's a picture of the convention. Didn't really have enough time to put it up earlier. It was taken at the start of the convention during the morning sometime. The convention definitely picked up after that. You can see Ms. Cat-Woman-Girl-Thingy in the foreground, and if you look closely, you can see one of the male members wearing a pink dress in the middle of the picture. I'm not sure what he was cosplaying...I was too scared to ask. Not by the fact that he was wearing a dress, but the fact that he's just a scary guy... The guy with the table on the left was a dealer that came all the way from California. He made tons of money...some even off of me...hehe. I bought three posters, two of them were Cowboy Bebop, the other was one of Rei from Evangelion - crazy anime, cool poster. I also bought a really cool Cowboy Bebop stocking cap for the colder days. It has a cool picture of Spike on the front of it. YAY :) My table is in the extreme foreground. You can barely make out the little chibies I was selling that I made out of sculpty clay. I have plenty of them left, so if you want one, let me know. I'll give one to you for free (if I like you and you're nice). It's kinda funny, I've never been to an anime convention, and the first one I've been to was something that I was selling artwork at...hehe...

And Now...:

Well the past few days have been interesting. On Monday I was forced by one of my sorority sisters to make an appointment at the Health Center. I'm so glad she did. Tuesday morning I went in for my appointment at around 8:45 a.m. and didn't leave until 5:00 p.m.. No, the service wasn't that bad, in fact everyone that was working that day was incredible awesome. Well basically, along with the canker sores, ulcers started to form on my tounge and on my gums...not a very pleasant thing. Along with the fact that my throat still hurt like crap, I got these things along with it, and they basically hurt so bad that I couldn't eat or even drink. So in other words: I had severe dehydration and was basically starving myself because of all the pain. I lost about six pounds since Sunday, so that right there basically tells you what happened up until Tuesday. So the doctor gave me two IV's and let me rest for the day at the Health Center. I left there feeling a lot better and hopeful. As the night went on the only thing I ate and drank was ice cream that Allie brought over and a quarter portion of the Sierra Mist that Brooke bought for me. (Thank you Booties! - "Booty" = nicknames for Allie and Brooke) It seemed sufficient enough to me...at the time...

Today. Woke up early to go to my Typography class. Had no energy what-so-ever. I called my mom crying because I didn't have enough energy to barely walk down to the bathroom. My mom freaks out and calls UNL Housing to have someone haul me over to the Health Center, then she skips the funeral she was supposed to go today and comes down to Lincoln to see me. My Resident Assistant, nor my floor's Health Aide was around, so the Cather Resident Director and the Health Aide from the 7th floor come down to drive me to the Health Center - which is basically right across the street. The nurses at the Health Center were a little surprised to see me back so soon and also got concerned. My mom arrived about 45 minutes later and two more IV's were given to me throughout the day. Then my mom went on a shopping spree at Walmart and got me ice cream, popsicles, and tons of other yummy stuff. I made it back to my room just in time as my mom was getting back. And now I'm here. So basically I've lost a grand total of eight pounds, missed two midterms, one quiz, and tons of important class time... I'm feeling a little better, the sores are starting to heal thanks to the medicine and I think I'm going to try and see if I can eat something for the first time since Sunday...

Sick Convention:

The anime convention went better than I expected yesterday. After buying admission and table rental, I had about a four dollar profit, but in the end the experience was great. I know that next year I'll definitely be participating. I'll also know what to expect and what people like to buy. My anime music video won best edit and I got two anime DVD's as a prize. YAY! :D

I think the convention would have gone even better if I wasn't sick. I started to feel a cold coming on when I worked Friday night. Towards the end of the convention, my body was burning up, yet I was shivering all over - classic signs of a fever. Trying to be tough, I shook it off for awhile, but after the point where I got light-headed and almost blacked/passed out, I decided going back to sleep in my room would be the best course of action. Luckily I saw Jenny heading back from Flagline practice and she helped to walk me home. She also got me some Ny-Quil - YAY! I heart you Jenny! Before I went to bed I decided to check out my temperature, just for the heck of it. It turned out to be 104.7 degrees Fahrenheit. I went to bed at 10:00 pm and finally woke up at around 3:00 pm, which is nothing out of the ordinary for me. :) My throat really hurts and I have two, really huge canker sores in my mouth. I can't really stand up for more than about fifteen minutes, but other than that, I'm better than I was yesterday...I think...

Pass The Test:

Last night at work my co-worker and I decided to give the first 60 people that walked in after midnight a drunk test. After careful consideration, and some plagiarism we came up with these four questions:

What is your name?: No one really had trouble answering this one.

What is your quest?: Almost everyone became stumbled by this question, and after asking what a "quest" was and given the answer, the results were as follows:

- To go to their room: 57
- To succeed in life: 3

What is your favorite color?: Results were as follows:

- Blue: 34
- Pink: 6
- Green: 5
- Red: 4
- Black: 3
- Yellow: 2
- Orange
- Purple
- Turquoise
- Mahogany
- Periwinkle
- 17

What is the air speed velocity of a laden swallow?: Results were as follows:

- I don't know/have no idea: 43
- African or European: 3
- 3,000 mph
- 176 mph
- 10 mph
- 287 mps
- 18 kph
- 84
- 78
- 25.2438751...
- 9.72
- 6
- 3.6
- 2.9
- Oh shit...
- No thanks...

So as you can see, most people passed the test, and some well...didn't.
