Return to Chaos:

Well as most of you know, I've just got back from a wonderful time in Germany with Judith! The food there was so freakin' awesome and I'm sad that we don't have all the really neat bakeries here as there are in Germany.

I arrived Sunday afternoon and went to a European Handball game with Judith and her sister Beatrix. It was really interesting to watch and the home team won...yay! All I know is that I could never play that game, I would be too afraid of being hit by the ball.

Monday I visited Beatrix's high school and got to sit in on her English class. For the last half of the class I gave a little presentation about myself and America and I answered any questions the students had. That night I went to the movie theatre with Beatrix and Kausten, (sp?) Judith's brother. We saw "Meet the Fockers" in German. I had never seen it before, even in English, but I was surprised how much of it I actually understood. It was a pretty funny movie, so I plan on seeing it in English as well.

Tuesday Judith and I went skiing in Feldberg. I felt kinda bad for Judith having a stupid American around on the slopes. The last time I had ever gone skiing was at Mount Crescent, a.k.a. Hill Crescent. And the last time I did anything that involved snow and me going down it was snowboarding in Colorado…wait, let me re-phrase that, attempting to snowboard in Colorado. Well, I eventually got the hang of it again and I had a lot of fun. After skiing, we headed back home and rested.

Wednesday I went shopping with Judith in Stuttgart. I got some really cool shoes and a CD. I also got to visit Judith's college and got to see a neat castle in the same town. That night I got to meet Judith's boyfriend and went out to go bowling with Judith and Kausten. When we got to the bowling alley, all the lanes were full, so we just decided to play some pool upstairs. I had some really good beer that night from a local brewery too. :D

Thrusday I went to Heidelberg with Judith to see a really cool castle there and walk around town. We also went on some "Philosophy" walk or something, all I know is that it was a little much for a lazy American like me. I also noticed that I lost a little weight doing all the walking...perhaps I should do more of it. I could afford to lose some of the weight I gained while in college O_o. That night I went out to eat with Judith's family and her boyfriend. I had this really awesome steak and I can't even remember the name of it...oh well.

Friday I went back to Beatrix's high school to give presentations in her English teacher's classes. Personally I liked talking with the 7th graders over the 10th graders. The 10th graders kept asking me questions about what I thought of Hitler and if all Americans still think that Germans believe in Hitler. I also got a few questions about Bush...oye. That night I got to go to a karoke bar called the "Fun Pub" with Judith and couple of friends she knew. The only names I remember were Marco and his brother Patrick. There happened to be a lesbian table that frequented the place and the surprising part was that all the of their singers were really good O_o. Oh well. I had a lot of fun making a fool of myself and drinking with some cool people.

I left Saturday morning and arrived back in Omaha Saturday afternoon...a little late thanks to the airlines. Also, my luggage apparently just made it there as well. I also had a little problem with the airlines when I left. I was supposed to leave a day earlier, but I couldn't make a connecting flight, so I had to stay in Omaha another day before I could even leave...ack.

Well, all in all Germany was awesome and I plan on returning someday. I hope to see Judith sometime soon again. I really enjoyed hanging out with her, it almost seemed like we were never even apart for as long as we were. Thanks a lot JUDITH :D
