I Finally Broke...

Well, I finally broke and bought a PSP? I asked my parents if they would get me one for Christmas, and they pretty much said that they'd never get me another gaming device ever, so that meant I could finally break the seal of anticipation and get my own.

I bought the $250 dollar package that included the charger kit, a 1 GB memory stick, a worthless ATV game, and the movie: Lords of Dogtown...meh... When my boyfriend bought his PSP, it came with the charger, 32 MB memory stick, a sleeve for the PSP, and some headphones. I also got a few more games for it as well. I figured I'd get them all at once since I was going to get them all eventually. The additional games that I got (not including the ones I previously purchased): Untold Legends: Warrior's Code, Valkyrie Profile Lenneth, and Monster Hunter Freedom. Warrior's Code was on sale when I went to Best Buy as well as the other non-PSP game I also purchased: Call of Duty 2. The price dropped to $40. Originally I was going to wait till it got even cheaper, but oh well.

Other than that, everything's been pretty much the same. Hopefully your week/weekend was more eventful than mine...

New Pictures:

This really has little to do with gaming but I'll try to put something in here that does. I bought another PSP game for the PSP I don't own yet. MediEvil Resurrection was on sale at Best Buy and I decided to buy it before the "Greatest Hits" packaging set in.

Other than that everything has been the same as it was before maybe with the exception that I started taking a GRE class through Kaplan to help me on the exam. I did alright the first time I took it, but I figured I could have done a lot better. Because of this, I decided that the class would be beneficial for me, and so far I've learned a ton about the little secrets the test has and how to go about any given problem.

I finally got around to picking up the pictures at my parent's house. Originally, my family and relatives had gotten together to take pictures. My mom decided to use that opportunity to take some senior pictures while we were at it. I also have some pictures from the actual commencement day. Some of them are better than others. I'll post the best out of the bunch here:

Also, I've uploaded these photos (and more) to my photobucket HERE if you want to see them a bit larger, although I don't know why because you might go blind if you do. Also, I recently got my haircut a lot shorter, so that probably makes all of these pictures invalid anyway...

Wow...

Well things have been pretty hectic lately ever since I moved into a house, started school, and both my jobs. Cleaning, unpacking, setting up the internet, classes, homework, and working are starting to take their toll on me. I think I forgot to work meals into my schedule, but maybe that's a good thing since I gained a few pounds back once my study abroad adventure was over.

The house I moved into is owned by an elderly lady that goes to our church. My parent's friends (who are related to her and also go to our church) had found out that she was going to have to stay in assisted living for awhile and told my parents that it would be alright for me to house-sit for a year while I'm back in Omaha. I do have to admit that the thought of living in an old lady's house was rather unnerving, but I found out that I only have to pay for utilities, and then I got sold on the idea.

Setting up the cable internet in the home was somewhat of a challenge. The main problem with it was that the modem that was so old it wasn't powerful enough to even process the speeds cable currently puts out today. So, after waiting in line for an hour, I got my new modem, had my internet service checked out, and got my added cable channels today. So when I get home, everything should be working properly...should be...

The teachers in my classes have already given me a surprising amount of homework, especially my math teacher. We cover about an entire chapter a day, and have to complete the corresponding homework for each chapter...which is a lot since many of the chapters have several sections.

I'm still quite happy with my job at dotGAME. It's this job that actually made me break and buy World of Warcraft. My boyfriend isn't too happy about it since he completely hates W.O.W. I was only delaying the inevitable by not making an account until now. So far I'm a level 8 Tauren Warrior after the few hours that I seemed to find playing it. I don't even know if I'll have enough time to play it with my busy schedule and my practice commitment to Halo 2. Good thing the first 30 days come with the game, as well as the 10 extra for a guest account. I just added them both to mine and got 40. Originally I was going to pick an Orc to play as, since I liked playing as them in Warcraft III. I think it was the fact that I grew up in the great state of Nebraska that made me fall in love with the Taurens. I'm on the server Burning Blade if anyone else wants to join and teach me a few pointers.
