Sunday, January 26, 2003 Seymor!!!Damn you Seymor and your powerful aeon. Heh, I'm still playing Final Fantasy X, and I can't get past this one character. I'm just going to give up for now, and make the gamer guy beat him for me :) I like the game so far, but it does get a little repetitive with all the battling and stuff. So yeah, I saw the Winter Play yesterday, and I liked it a lot. First off, because it was short, and second because it was a lot funnier than the last winter play - which was long, and boring...trust me I know, I worked back stage on set crew. I will also be seeing it again today because somehow Mark got two free tickets...What the hell? I worked my ass off for Fisch, and she made me pay...well, at a discount price. Hehe. I'm going to Elliott's Super Bowl party tonight too. It should be fun, but I don't know...sounds like there will be too many high schoolers running around - I don't want to associate with them - :)
Thursday, January 23, 2003 FFX FreakYesterday I went over to the Kauffman Center (the smart people dorm) to play Final Fantasy X (that's ten for all you Roman retards out there). I got done with classes at 2:00, got around to Kauffman at 3:00, and after that, I played till 1:00 a.m. Well, I did take a break for dinner and do a little homework for 2 hours...and I did start playing another game inbetween, because the FFX game froze up...probably because I was playing it for 5 hours straight...hehe. Let's just say I was quite bored, and I'm glad I spent that much time doing something that I like. I have always wanted to play Final Fantasy X, ever since I saw Anthony Broderick playing it, but I had no PS2 at the time. I have one now, but it's at home, so I borrowed James' PS2 - (he's the one with the really cool job playing games all day). I had no "real" homework (just reading, and some assignments that are due next week intsead of this one) so I decided to play a game instead of sitting in my room with my retarded room mates. It was good to get away from their stupidness for a while. I'm not done with the game yet, but I'm more than half way there. Maybe I'll get around to finishing it today, or by the end of this week, because I still don't have any "real" homework assignments. :)
Tuesday, January 21, 2003 For No ReasonI don't know why i'm posting, because I really have nothing to post about. I think I'm just doing it because I haven't done it in a while. Haven't done anything but study and sleep - my two main purposes on this planet (so far). I think my other is to propogate, but I will hold off on that one for a while... I'm going to the Winter Play on Saturday with Jen Bruce and James Wingert. If anyone else wants to go with, let me or one them know...heh. So yeah...I'm done now...off to Cultural Anthropology.
Saturday, January 18, 2003 Boomerang SwithbladeYeah, so about switching classes...uhh...I lied, I switched back to the slacker class...then I can take naps in the afternoon and not have to worry about going to class. Also, the main reason why I switched is I got a job. I will work in the gift shop in Morrill Hall - Nebraska State Museum called Dinosaurs Etc.. Cute huh? I need to have my afternoons open in case I have to work. Whats cool about this is that my place of work is on campus, so I don't have to drive anywhere, and it's a really easy job. The manager said that I can just sit in the back office and do homework or whatever, unless there is a customer...and that is really, really rare. She said that only times where it's busy are field trips, and those happen like once or twice a month. I may not make very much money, but it's more money than I have now. Also I get paid to sit...and that is my kind of job. :) Killing Machine Last night I played Halo till 2 in the morning with all the smart kids at JDE (Kauffman Center). We hooked up link play and had 16 people playing at once. Our team creamed the other team...5 to 0 in capture the flag...GO RED TEAM! I had 2 killing sprees, only because I was camping out...and I am a bastard when I camp out. I know where all the good spots are in that game to camp out and people will not see you...they didn't even stand a chance...poor bastards. I WIN!!! One of the guys at JDE gets payed to play and rate games for companies. I so want his job! He loaned me some games I was interested in to see if I like them or not. I can use them when I finally get back to my house next week...or is it the week after that. I don't know...I play everything by ear. So, if anyone wants to buy Rachel an X-Box, they will recieve 1,000,000 Rachel points...don't worry about getting the Halo game, I will get that. :)
Friday, January 17, 2003 Class SwitcherYup, that's a me kids! I switched out of Geology 100 - Introduction to Geology (Rocks for Jocks) and I am now in Geology 101 - Introduction to Physical Geology (Rocks for Jocks + Lab). I didn't have to switch, and it would have been easier to have stayed in the class I intially chose. I just figured I needed some lab experience so that when I get into higher level classes that require labs, I don't look like a dumbass - which isn't hard for me to do at all. :) I'm just trying to help myself out in the long run...trying. :) So I decided to stay in Lincoln for the weekend, I know where all the fun places are here, and I don't have my parental units breathing down my back. The last time I went home, my mom said I had to be home at midnight, and just laughed at her and left. Only later did she realize what she was saying. Besides, I have to wake up and go to church in the morning on Sundays. Here, I sleep till whenever I want without my parents coming in my room telling me to get up. Well, I do have my stupid room mates that wake me up, but one of them left home for the weekend (Andrea), so now I only have to deal with one person's stupidity. I went tanning today. It was three tans for three dollars...good for me, because of my Italian, olive skin. I get darker two times as much as fair skinned people. That just goes to show you that you all should have been born Italian...the best heritage EVAR! I was pissed off today because my dinning hall near my dorm was closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. I had to get a ride with some people over to another dinning hall. I also found out it is closed all weekend...I hate you bastards! I have to walk all that way in freezing-ass weather just to eat. You suck!
Tuesday, January 14, 2003 CopiersIt seems that we have a copier in our midst. Yes, I'm referring to you Peter...how dare you copy my blog template...just kidding. Although, one could say it is kind of flatering, but I'm not that one...lol. They don't have very many selections to choose from in the blog database, but there are other sites out there that have some pretty cool looking templates. I'm just to lazy to change mine, because that would mean I would have to re-make my entire setup and everything else...and that will suck. Maybe I'll change it someday if I'm really, really, really bored - but for now, it aint happening. Eventhough, I must say, my blog is better looking because I am a java queen!!! I took out some of the weird little dots and stuff that looked stupid and added stuff of my own. It goes hand in hand when you're going out with a computer nerd. Plus I get 24/7 tech support and all the free upgrades I want...well maybe not the latter, but I'm working on it! So yeah, I win...lol...jk.
Monday, January 13, 2003 The Eurge to KillSo um yeah, I really want to kill the room mates right now. Why? Oh, I thought you'd never ask... First off, both of my room mates are annoying, so we have that factor, especially one of them, Sarah. She talks like a ditz and she doesn't know anything about the world in general. Once I was talking about Pompeii and the volcanic ash there and she added, "Oh, my parents talk about Hawaii all the time"...wtf? Another time she asked me how she could get files from her computer (which Mark loaned her so she doesn't use my computer all the freaking time) and transfer them on my computer to print them...how about a disk anyone? Then she asks what to do when nothing pops up when she inserts the disk...sigh. And this is the room mate that went to Omaha North...what are they teaching them over there anyway? One other thing though, she reminds me of Gina, she was a cheerleader and played trumpet in band - Not to mention she looks a lot like her. I called her Gina for the first week I met her...so I'm bad with names...you all should know that by now. Now for the other room mate...yay! This is the room mate that I rarely have problems with because most of the time she is not here and she comes home really late drunk, so I don't have to deal with her. She got this from living in Lodgepole, NE - with a graduating class of 8 (If you know where this is, you get 100 Rachel points)...so obviously nothing to do but drink. (Yes, that's right kids, there are other places other than Omaha that have even more problems with nothing to do). Well right now, she has her boyfriend from the Marines over here. He spent the night last night and he snores like a son of a bitch. I tried to get to sleep 3 times during the night - I would get so close to falling asleep, then he would start snoring really, really loudly. Andrea also snores sometimes, and Sarah talks in her sleep...I am so close to sending both of them to a sleep research institute and get her snoring boyfriend some breathe-right strips...seriously. What makes this even greater is that I had only gotten 4 hours of sleep the night before, and got an hour in last night - thanks to snorehead! Now to talk about both of them in general. When my room mates are sleeping, napping, or studying, I use a whisper tone, talk on my cellphone outside the room, and watch movies on my computer with my headphones on. Rather courdious if I say so myself... My room mates...well...they don't know how to whisper, talk outside the room, and they just love to listen to the radio or watch T.V....especially while I'm sleeping or napping, mostly the latter. Lately I haven't been sleeping well, probably anxious for school or something. Well, it got so bad today I went to my friends room down the hall to nap for 3 hours, and I must say it was the best sleep I've had this week. I have had 9 hours of sleep in the past 48 hours, and if Andrea's boyfriend snores tonight, I will kill him...bottom line. I don't even care if he is a Marine...I am an angry woman. My conclusion is to show them the proper respect they are showing me...and KILL THEM!!! - maybe I'll be doing the world a favor as well...
Friday, January 10, 2003 Garden GnomeI'm bored, no wait...extreemly bored. I think I need to go back to school to have some excitement. I want to spend time with all the people I know at MN, but they have school...laughs* I am somewhat excited to start all my new classes, I have 15 credit hours, and they are all geology and anthropology courses...cake. I went up to the Winter Play rehearsal today to see what was going on...chaos...as usual. I got to help out making the poster, so that was fun. I drew a little dwarf, but it looks like a garden gnome...hehe. Well, since I didn't get any money last year for school, I have to go fill out this aplication now...yay...not really.

I just about laughed my ass off! - It's so freaking true! On a side note relating to this subject: You men really do have one tract minds - you know that? You should really fix that. I think that instead of finding a cure for cancer or AIDS, doctors should really be finding a cure for man's libido, instead of trying to help it out with drugs like viagra...silly.
Saturday, January 04, 2003 Really Bad DayJust when I thought things couldn't get any worse, they did. First thing I wake up and my parents are already yelling at me to do the dishes. I stall around for a few hours, and then Megan calls. She wants to hang out and go shopping, and I'm all for it. I sneak out of the house and we head off to the mall. We decided to grab a coffee, as we normally do when we have a "girls' night." The people working there were so freaking retarded. All I can remember from that incident was something about punch cards and my mocha chiller tasting like peppermint...the bastards. Then we decided to do some shopping at American Eagle, since I had a gift certificate to there. Well, we pick out what we like and check out. After checking out I realized that I could have used my $20 gift certificate if I spent over $50 - I spent $43.70. So then I go back to the store and look around for something to buy and take it to the cashier, who was SO willing to HELP me - note the sarcasm* She spends like 15 minutes trying to figure out how to transfer all the payments and gift certificates. The people behind me were getting pretty pissed off, but they could have blown it out their ass holes for all I cared. Finally she gets it all figured out and we head back home. I thought my troubles were over by then - how wrong I was. I say goodbye to Megan and get in my truck. I turn the ignitition and she doesn't start, but that's O.K. - she does that once in awhile. I try again and again. About the 10th time I give up and call my parents, and are they home? - No. Try my mom's cell, and does she pick up? - No. Well Shit. I ask Megan's dad for help and he graciously does. Then during the time he was starting my truck, he locks the keys inside - just great. So Megan gives me a ride back to my house to get the spare keys. Finally after the 50th time, the truck starts. And here I am now folks. Hope you enjoyed my story as much as I did, because now I need a martini or something or someone is going to die!!!
Friday, January 03, 2003 Blah and BlahFun stuff goin on over here at my house, so fun that I think I may fall asleep from all the funness. New Years wasn't as good as all the other New Years parties before it. Maybe because its an odd year. Not a good year. They say that the first week of January reflects how the rest of your year will go. If that's so, then I'm doomed to hell. Meh. I'm not in too good of a mood right now, a "blah" mood. So I think I'll take drive and run some people over. That usually makes me feel better.
