Thursday, December 18, 2003 Realization:Wow...I just realized I had a blog. I'm done with two of my finals as of now and I have two more ahead of me. My first final in mythology was cake, but the one I took tonight in Geology stole my soul away. He told us that the test would only cover the material since the midterm...he lied...and he did it well. 3/4 of the questions he never went even over in lecture, and I actually read the whole damn book for the first time ever in any class. Well apparently he must have thought we would have every detail from the book memorized...he thought wrong. After the test a few of my classmates gathered outside to talk about the test and "What the fuck?" was the most popular comment. So yeah...he said he'd scale it...that is my only redemtion right now. I have an anthropology exam, and I'm not too worried about it since its my favorite subject and the exam is just over the last section of notes. My statistics exam is another story. We are allowed to have two sheets front to back of notes...and seeing how good I am at math, I don't think even the notes will help me. You can have all the notes in the world but you have to know what you are doing...and I don't have that quality too often...hehe. I'm leaving tonight after my freedom from my statistics exam. I'm bringing my friend Ayako along for a couple of days since she's leaving from Omaha airport on the 22nd. Well...I really want to leave right now, but seeing as how my grades are on the line I might just want to stick this one out...
Tuesday, December 02, 2003 On Another Note:Hehe...I forgot to add a funny part to my last post. The night before Thanksgiving, my aunt and uncle's dog got into the unbaked rolls. After eating his fill, the bread expanded and fermentated in his stomach, so by the time my aunt and uncle woke up, the dog was stubbling around the house as drunk as a sailor. I recommended to my uncle that he send the dog to a doggie A.A. Hehe. I just got back from checking out the model for the new dorms that are going to be built by next year and they are really, really, really nice...even better than UNO's in lots of ways I don't know where to begin. The bad thing is that there aren't going to be many of them and priority will be given to the people who have lived on campus the longest. I have two years going for me so I think that is pretty good. Also most people don't stay in the dorms after their sophomore year anyway because we have a dry campus...and who wants to party in their dorm? Usually people get an apartment or a house to live in. Well...I'll apply, but it's going to be really, really, really competetive. In other news, I got a new $20 bill today when I went to the store. Having color is a good start, but it looks just like they slapped it on the old original design...how boring... And on top of that, it just makes it look really dumb. You think that with all the money our government is getting they could at least pay us back in some way or fashion by having better looking bills. It looks like a book report slapped together at the last minute before turning it in for class...speaking of...back to my paper...
