Kitty!:I have the "Ohio" song from the Brak Show stuck in my head...Ohio, Ohio, round on the end, "hi" in the middle...
I had to get a library card just so I could check my e-mail. The public library at Chillicothe is the only place where we can get the internet. I guess it really wouldn't have mattered anyway...because I wouldn't have updated my blog any sooner. Hehe.
It is hot here...like fire. I already look Hispanic and I've only been out in the sun for less than a few hours. The rest of the day is usually spent digging or sifting dirt under tarped tents. The rest of the afternoon is spent playing video games, watching movies, or going out to the only movie theatre in Chillicothe. There are a few places to eat around here, but I'm told that we shouldn't eat at any place that advertises Mexican or Asian food...because it tastes awful. Too many people have come home with stomach aches, and I don't want to be next...so I'm just staying as far away as I possibly can.
In other news...the old V.A. psych ward is not abandoned as previously thought. In fact, part of it is still in use. I guess living with all the crazy people isn't so bad after all...I can finally talk with people of my own kind. :P They come up and attempt to talk with you once in awhile, and it's not that they aren't nice, its just that well...they're crazy. They don't live on the same floor, or same side of the building as we do. But when we go outside, its inevitable that we will have to confront at least one of them.
There are also a bunch of really, super-cute kitties that are living just outside the building. They like to hide in the drainage pipes and underneath the doctor's cars. We left them some food yesterday and this morning it was gone...hehe...soooo cute! I think they have kittens, which is why they are so protective of the drainage pipe. Sometimes I can hear their cute little meows echoing out of the tube. :) KITTY!
I think our group is leaving back for the hospital, so I gots to go. I really wish I had a car out here. Bumming rides in University vans sux. Peace.
