Sunday, June 12, 2005 O_o:So my dad went postal tonight and threatend to throw my X-Box out the window if he saw me playing it tonight. Apparently I did something to piss my parents off and it was my fault (of course) - but what I did exactly remains unknown or uncertain at this time...perhaps ever. Gawd I need an appartment... My parents just don't understand that gaming is my passion. What if I told my mom and dad that they could never read their crappy romance/science fiction novels ever again, or that I would take them away and throw them out the window or into a fire? Sigh...parents... I played video games every night while I was in college and still pulled off a 4.0 last semester - IN FACT, it was my first time to get a 4.0 ever in college (except for summer sessions, but those really don't count - it's too damn easy to get a 4.0) - I was usually given all A's and one B+ by some stupid teacher that would flaw my GPA from ever reaching a 4.0...until now. But hey, I still got A's and B's right? So anyway, what does all this tell you then? So maybe ever since I got X-Box Live, gaming has helped my studying abilities...which I know it really hasn't - I put most things off till the last second...but then again, I've almost always done that, and let's face it - it's more fun that way... I got this wireless adapter so I can play X-Box in the basement and not wake up my parents/or my grandparents when they come next week. They are the Italian relatives too...so I really don't want to incour the wrath of my grandfather by playing X-Box next to the room he and my grandma will be sleeping in. Also, I might not be able to even play X-Box after midnight, let alone play it at all while they are here. Someone else will have to run my midnight practices then... I've actually wanted the adapter for quite some time, but never got around to buying one until now - and I figured with my grandparents coming, I had a good excuse for buying one...and that I'm a compulsive shopper...not good... :P But anyway...with all that said and done - I still can't get the damn adapter to even work. I've tried everything except for actually calling for assistance. Now people, I consider myself well adept in the technological field, and can pretty much figure out the problem and find a solution for it. I even read the entire manual and the support tips online for the adpater and connecting to X-Box Live with a wireless adapter. I even watched the lame-ass video that even shows you how to connect and set up your wireless adapter. And even after baring through the demoralizing pain, I still can't figure out why it won't work. I'm to the point where I'm going to return the adapter and get my $100 back, or call the dreaded ISP! Nuuuuu! *hides in corner* O_o P.S. It's sad...I have aknowledged there is a life outside X-Box Live, but continue to be obsessed anyway...sigh...
Sunday, June 05, 2005 Down With The Sickness:So I wonder how many people actually read this thing anyway... Oh well. I recently got sick with a cold and it started turning into bronchitis, but I went to the doctor in time and I think I'm pretty much over it. I still have a little bit of a cough, but at least I still have my voice back...yay! I have this problem...I want to go somewhere this summer, but am lacking in the money department. I'm still waiting on my first paycheck from Hector's. It won't be much, but it'll be something. The other problem is I don't know where I want to go. I'm thinking I want to go to another state, one that doesn't border Nebraska, since everyone practically does that...and has done it many times over. Any suggestions or people to tag along? So I pretty much play on X-Box Live every night, so if you'd like to catch me, get X-Box Live.
Wednesday, June 01, 2005 WOW:Omg, you know what's really sad? I blog more on my gaming blog at 1up.com than I do on this one... I need help... Well the birthday party at the hotel was a success I believe, except for the minor incident with Alan...silly Alan, you promised never to drink that much again...you lied! :P I have lots of pop and alcohol left over...and someone's swimsuit, it's a Nike one I believe. So if you are missing one, let me know I will return it to you...no wait...you get your forgetful ass over to my place and pick it up. Haha! Started my job back up at Hector's, only this time I'm a waitress. So come and give me good tips damnit...preferably the monetary kind. :D
